#GDP385: Conversation Bubbles Card

It's color challenge time at Global Design Project this week, and I love it! Coastal Cabana is one of my all time favorite Stampin' Up! colors, and Crumb Cake is probably my favorite neutral.

I had the Conversation Bubbles Bundle out, so that's what I used to create my card.

The Picture This Dies are so fun, and I thought they paired well with this equally fun bundle. What do you think?

That embossing folder is part of a pack of three new embossing folders - the Basics Embossing Folders - which are an online exclusive product. Like many of the other online exclusive products, these embossing folders have been super popular and are currently out of stock. But have no fear! It looks like they'll be back in May.

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Conversation Bubbles
Ink: Crumb Cake
Paper: Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla
Embellishments: Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Enamel Dot Essentials
Tools: Basics 3D Embossing Folders, Picture This Dies, Conversation Bubbles Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

Creation Station: Ink Blending

It's time for the Creation Station Design Team blog hop, and this month our theme is Ink Blending. I've been wanting to do some ink blending on the Like An Animal Specialty Designer Series Paper, so this was the perfect time to try it out!

My oldest daughter loves cheetahs, so I pulled out the gold cheetah print pattern and my Polished Pink ink. I used a Blending Brush to gradually add ink to the paper, starting at the bottom and working my way up. This is how you get that ombre effect, and you can just keep adding ink until you're happy with how it looks.

I also used a few products from the Enjoy the Journey Suite on my card - the other layer of pink patterned paper is the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper, and the sentiment comes from the Greatest Journey stamp set. I heat embossed it in black for a really striking look.

Here is a full list of products used on my card:
Stamps: Greatest Journey
Ink: Polished Pink
Paper: Basic Black, Polished Pink, Brushed Metallic Cardstock, Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper, Like An Animal Specialty Designer Series Paper
Embellishments: Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Simply Elegant Trim, Matte Black Dots
Tools: Blending Brush, Versamark, Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool, Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Mini Glue Dots

Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to hop along and see what the rest of the team has created. Up next is Yvonne Spikmans - Van Bruggen. I can't wait to see what she has created!

February 2023 Christmas Card Club Sneak Peek

Better late than never... I completely forgot to post this sneak peek earlier this week! But here it is: this month's Christmas Card Club kit.

This time of year, it gets a little bit harder to design cards for this club because we don't have many current Christmas products. But I love using non-traditional colors for Christmas, and I think these blues make beautiful Christmas cards!

You might be thinking, "why would I want to be making Christmas cards in February?" I love to craft for Christmas year-round, and it helps to save a little bit of stress and work later in the year when you're trying to get all the things done for Christmas. If you join my Christmas Card Club, you'll make 8 Christmas cards every month, and it will be one less thing to worry about come December! Here are a few more details about the club:

Creation Station: Simple & Sweet

Happy February! It's the first Sunday of the month, and time to hop along with the Creation Station Design Team. This month, our theme is Simple and Sweet. The "sweet" part led me straight to the Share a Milkshake Bundle, one of my favorites!

The starting point for this card was the classic neapolitan ice cream combination: vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. I used Soft Suede for the chocolate ice cream and Blushing Bride for the strawberry. Then I added in a little Coastal Cabana for some contrast. The patterned paper in the background is the Sale-a-bration paper, Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper.

Do you like the little sprinkles on top?! Those are the For Everything Fancy Sequins.

After I created this card, I decided to make a coordinating small square card to go with it. I used the same color combination and design elements as the first card.

Here is a full list of products I used on my cards:
Stamps: Share a Milkshake
Ink: Blushing Bride, Coastal Cabana, Soft Suede
Paper: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Blushing Bride, Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper, Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack
Embellishments: For Everything Fancy Sequins
Tools: Share a Milkshake Dies, Seasonal Labels Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll check out the projects that the rest of the team has to share. Up next is the wonderful Sara Nell Langland.

#TGIFC403: Happy Valentine's Day

A sketch challenge is always so much fun, and I'm playing along with TGIF Challenges and their sketch challenge this week.

This sketch is simple, and was easy to work with! I used the Country Floral Lane Suite and created a Valentine's Day card.

I used the Country Bouquet Punch to create a subtle, textured background. I punched the larger heart out of Crumb Cake cardstock a number of times and layered the hearts onto another piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.

I also used the Country Bouquet stamp set, Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper and Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins from this suite of products. Stampin' Up!'s coordination is the best, and makes it so easy to create beautiful projects!

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Country Bouquet
Ink: Blushing Bride, Sweet Sorbet
Paper: Crumb Cake, Basic White, Country Floral Lane DSP
Embellishments: 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine, Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins
Tools: Country Bouquet Punch, Stitched Rectangles Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

#GDP377: Country Bouquet Card

This week's challenge at Global Design Project is a color challenge. These colors make me think spring!

I used products from the Country Floral Lane Suite to make my card. It was kind of fun to go outside of the pink/red/blue color scheme you'll see in the catalog spread for this suite.

This stamp set comes with a coordinating punch. Aren't punch bundles the best?! The two hearts are on one stamp, as are the two leaves, which makes this punch quick and easy to use.

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Country Bouquet
Ink: Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, So Saffron
Paper: Balmy Blue, Basic White, So Saffron, Granny Apple Green, Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper
Embellishments: Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins
Tools: Country Bouquet Punch
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

#TGIFC402: Be My Valentine

This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is a color challenge. I'm not sure which I enjoy more - a color challenge or a sketch challenge - but this color challenge definitely includes colors that are right up my alley!

I decided to use the products that were already out in my crafting space: the Share a Milkshake Bundle, Country Gingham DSP, and the Fabulous Frames Dies. Here's what I came up with:

Now before you go thinking that's a burnt ice cream cone, have you ever tried the Oreo sugar cones? So yummy! That's what I was going for here.

I stamped off on the scoops of ice cream and the little background hearts to create the lighter shades of Polished Pink. And isn't that heart tucked into the top scoop adorable?! I think that little spot to tuck things in is my favorite feature of this die set!

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Share a Milkshake
Ink: Early Espresso, Polished Pink
Paper: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Early Espresso, Polished Pink, Country Gingham DSP
Embellishments: Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds
Tools: Share a Milkshake Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Fabulous Frames Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue
