I made this card for my team's swap, and I also included one in each of the catalog packets I sent out last week. They were quick and easy, but oh so pretty with the Share What You Love Specialty Paper!

Frozen Birthday Invitations

Happy Friday! I am stopping by quickly today to share the invitations I made for my oldest's birthday party this weekend. We don't do parties every year for our kids. They each got one for their first birthday, and we are doing one their kindergarten year, but that's probably going to be it. Nothing elaborate either - we just invited the kids from her class to come over and swim, have cupcakes, and the part she is looking forward to the most - the presents!

Jenna loves Frozen, so that is the theme we are using for the party. I use that term loosely, as this party is very laid back! It would be fun to go all out with decorations and everything, but at 8 1/2 months pregnant, that is not happening.

The invitations use a lot of retiring products, and a few that are returning. Sorry for the big butterfly in the middle of the picture. I am working on my photography and editing skills slowly but surely, but blurring out parts of the image is not something I have conquered yet. So ignore that and look at the rest. :)

I have quite a bit of Tempting Turquoise and Soft Sky cardstock, and since both of those colors are retiring, I let Jenna pick which one she wanted to use. She went with Tempting Turquoise. The Time to Party stamp comes from the retiring Confetti Celebration stamp set. This is a great one for birthday cards, graduation cards, and of course party invitations! The die cut snowflake and scallop edge come from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, and they are cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, also retiring. We finished the invitations off with Frozen stickers.

Stamps: Confetti Celebration
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
Accessories & Tools: Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Big Shot, Rhinestones

Simple Share What You Love Card

This has been an odd week. I am 34 weeks pregnant, and had an unexpected trip to the doctor at the beginning of the week. He didn't put me on bed rest, but if I don't stay off my feet the majority of the time, I am not feeling that great. The goal is to make it to 36 weeks, and although I would like to make it a bit longer than that, I would also prefer not to be in pain. So... I have actually gotten more crafting time than normal this week, but I haven't been so on top of getting outside to take pictures of my creations.

I played along at TGIF Challenges again this week, but I was not quite on time enough to link up this time. Oh well, I think the card is still worth sharing! Here is the sketch that inspired my card:

I went really simple on this one, but I don't think it needed much more with the beautiful paper!

The sentiment comes from Tabs for Everything, which happened to be sitting on my desk while I was creating this card. I wish I had some tips for cutting the paper to a point like that to share with you, but I think mine turned out due to pure luck! I'll have to figure out what I did and share another card with this layout sometime.

Stamps: Tabs for Everything
Ink: Tranquil Tide
Paper: Tranquil Tide, Whisper White, Share What You Love Specialty DSP
Accessories & Tools: Share What You Love Embellishment Kit, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Share What You Love Artisan Pearls

Stamp 'n' Hop May: Share What You Love for Mother's Day

Hello, and welcome to this month's Stamp 'n' Hop blog hop! We are a group of demonstrators from around the world, and this month we are sharing our projects made with BRAND NEW products!!! Is anyone else excited for the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog?! I sure am! I am coming to you from Gilbert, AZ in the US, and I have a fun fancy fold card to share with you today.

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the opportunity to order new products before customers. It is one of my favorite things about being a demonstrator, and this month, Stampin' Up! is giving customers the chance to order new products early too! The Share What You Love suite of products is just gorgeous, and the project I'm sharing with you today uses products from the largest bundle.

Here in the US, tomorrow is Mother's Day, and I created this card with the mothers and grandmothers in my life in mind. I'm sure they are going to love this card with pictures of their grandbabies inside! Take a look!

This type of card is called a Twisted Pop-Up Card. I've seen other names for it too. Whatever you call it, it's a fun "twist" on a card that still fits in a regular envelope. I followed this tutorial from The Pampered Stamper to learn how to create my card, and I'm sure if you search on YouTube you will find many other videos showing this technique.

All of the supplies I used are listed below. I used mainly products from the Gotta Have it All Bundle that is available for purchase this month, with the exception of Whisper White and Crumb Cake cardstock, the You're Inspiring stamp set, Blackberry Bliss ink, and the 2" Circle Punch.

Stamps: You're Inspiring
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron, Grapefruit Grove, Tranquil Tide, Share What You Love Specialty DSP
Accessories & Tools: 2" Circle Punch, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon, Pearlized Doilies, Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, Share What You Love Embellishment Kit

Make sure to hop along and check out more new products. I love to see everything new in action!

Happy Stamping!

Cool Treats for Teacher Appreciation

I have a quick post for you this afternoon. As you probably know, it was Teacher Appreciation Week this week. I would have loved to do something for Jenna's teacher every day, but that just wasn't going to happen this year. So we did a fun gift today, and her teacher loved it!

I thought the Cool Treats stamp set and Frozen Treats Framelits would go perfectly with an ice cream gift. The card is just flat, and we wrote on the back. Ice cream toppings fit nicely in the 6 x 17 Gusseted Cello Bags, and I tied it all up with the Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon. Most of these products are retiring, so make sure to snatch them up before they disappear! This gift would also be great as an end of the year teacher gift, so if you missed out on Teacher Appreciation, keep that in mind.

Stamps: Cool Treats
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Crumb Cake
Paper: Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White
Accessories & Tools: Frozen Treats Framelits, Big Shot, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Silver Mini Sequin Trim, Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon, 6 x 17 Gusseted Cello Bags

#TGIFC158 Color Challenge

This week I am participating in the TGIF Color Challenge. I love these colors together!

For this card, I went to my shelf of retiring stamp sets and picked out one that I am going to miss, Tranquil Tulips. This is a host set, so it can only be purchased using host dollars. Host an online party with me during May, or place a $150 order yourself, and it can be yours!

I stamped off for the back layer of the tulips. The sentiment is from the stamp set You're Inspiring, which is sticking around! And that black and white paper is from the Petal Passion DSP, which I'm surprised hasn't sold out yet. It is so pretty, and there are so many different ways to add color to it! See a full list of supplies used below, and don't hesitate to buy the products that are retiring because they won't be around for much longer!

Stamps: Tranquil Tulips (host), You're Inspiring
Ink: Basic Black, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Berry Burst, Petal Passion DSP
Accessories & Tools: Petals & More Thinlits, Big Shot, Glitter Enamel Dots

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today is my dad's birthday, so I thought I would share the card I sent to him. Several retiring products here, and time is running out! I love the True Gentleman DSP for masculine cards. I sometimes have trouble coming up with ideas for the men and boys in my life, but this paper makes it so easy!

I used the Classic Label Punch to punch out 'DAD'. If you need a shorter label, just punch twice!

Stamps: Thoughtful Banners

Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, True Gentleman DSP
Accessories & Tools: Gold Metallic Thread, Stitched Shapes Framleits, Happy Birthday Thinlits, Big Shot, Classic Label Punch

Share What You Love: Special Preorder During May

Happy Tuesday! Well, this one is happy anyways, because starting today you have the opportunity to purchase brand new products that are coming in the Annual Catalog this June! And you can purchase them at a bundle discount - even better!

I want to quickly explain the different options, and then I have a few cards to share using the Just Getting Started Bundle. I'll be sharing samples using products from the other bundles throughout the month.

There are four options for pre-ordering this month. The first is called the "Just Getting Started" Bundle. It includes the following items:

Note that the Very Vanilla Note Cards & Envelopes are a free item in this bundle. While you will be able to purchase these items separately starting in June, you will not receive the free gift.

The next option is called the "A Little More, Please" Bundle. It includes these items:

Note that in this bundle, the Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes and the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit are free.

The third option with these products, called the "Gotta Have it All" Bundle, adds on the Share What You Love Specialty Paper, which includes 24 sheets of designer paper, and it has a pearlized finish on one side. This bundle also adds the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Here is everything that is included:

You'll notice that the free items are the same as the "A Little More, Please" Bundle, with the addition of the Statement of My Heart stamp set. This stamp set is exclusive to this preorder and will not be offered in the upcoming catalog. It's a great reason to choose this bundle!

The final option is the 2018-2020 In Color Collection of ink pads. That's right, you can order our five brand new in colors now! Buying the five ink pads in a bundle saves you 10%. This bundle is the only one out of the four that will be available in the new catalog, but it's fun to get your hands on some of the new colors early!

Please note that if you order the In Color bundle along with one of the others, you will end up with two Grapefruit Grove ink pads. Also note that if you purchase the "Gotta Have it All" Bundle with the In Color bundle, you will have a large enough order to earn hostess rewards. Yay! If you are shopping and spending less than $150, please use this month's host code, RAHUEJ3J.

I hope you'll enjoy using some of these new products as much as I have already. Demonstrators were able to preorder these products during April, so it's been fun to try them out! I have a few cards to share with you today, and I used only the products from the "Just Getting Started" Bundle.

For the first one, I stamped off the Grapefruit Grove ink for the background of the flowers. "Stamping off" means inking up your stamp, stamping on a piece of scrap paper, and then stamping a second time on your project without re-inking. It gives you a lighter shade of the color.

For the second card, I used the same stamping off technique for the watercolor background stamp, and for some of the flowers on the envelope flap. I did add a few Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the greeting piece, but the rest of the products you'll find in your bundle.

Love these new products so much that you want more? You can include these bundles in your starter kit, and then you'll be able to participate in the demonstrator preorder from the new Annual Catalog, which begins tomorrow! This preorder usually includes a selection of products from the new catalog, and I'm betting all the rest of our brand new colors! Plus, you'll get to purchase at a discount! Woohoo!

If you have questions about any of this information, please feel free to email me and ask, or comment below. Stay tuned for more projects featuring brand new products this month!
