Floral Charm Card Class

Creation Station: Stampin' Blends

 

Hello, and welcome to this month's Creation Station Design Team blog hop! This month we are using one of my favorite coloring tools - Stampin' Blends Markers. 

 

I've decided to sneak peek some brand new products for this challenge. I'm using the Splendid Autumn Suite Collection, which will be available to customers starting on Wednesday. 

 

I've used the leaf stamp from the Autumn Expressions Bundle to create a background piece. I stamped it repeatedly in various positions, and then colored the leaves with Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, and Wild Wheat Stampin' Blends Markers. Aren't these colors beautiful for fall?! 

 

To finish off my background piece, I colored the entire cardstock around the leaves with my Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends Marker. Light Pool Party is like the VIP of the entire collection of Stampin' Blends! It is great for adding shadows or a subtle background like this one. It is for sure my most used color!

#TGIFC475: You Make Me Ha-pea

This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is a theme challenge.

 

I've used the Sweet Peas stamp set again. I love these two peas in a pod with the little heart!

 

I fussy cut the peas and placed them on a heart background. The die cut hearts come from the Friends for Life Bundle - I thought they were perfect for this card!

 

I've also stamped the greenery images in Granny Apple Green on Granny Apple Green cardstock for another background piece.

#TGIFC474: So Lucky to Know You

This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is an inspiration challenge.

 

I've used the Country Flowers Bundle to create my card.

 

I'll be honest, this card took awhile to make! I stamped the flower image around the border of my cardstock, and then colored. I used my Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends Marker to create an outline around all of the flowers. This creates a kind of shadow and really makes the flowers pop!

Creation Station: Containers & Vases

 

Welcome to this month's Creation Station Design Team blog hop! Our theme this month is containers and vases. 

 

I really wanted to participate in this month's hop, but as I looked through the stamps in the catalog, I quickly realized that I owned NONE of those that contained any type of container or vase. So I had to get creative! Let's see what you think...

 

Do you know where my "vase" comes from? It's the milkshake glass from the Share a Milkshake Bundle, turned upside down! 

 

This is one of those cards that would cost you hundreds of dollars to create. I used a large variety of products and just had fun crafting! 

 

I used the Sketched Plaid background stamp: Pecan Pie ink on Pecan Pie cardstock. The greenery I used to fill my vase comes from the two bundles in the Joy of Christmas Suite, the Christmas Classics Bundle and the Joy of Noel Bundle.

#TGIFC434: Give Thanks

There is a theme challenge at TGIF Challenges this week. Isn't this some pretty inspiration?

I pulled out some colors I saw in this graphic - Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, and Lost Lagoon - and paired them with the Courage & Faith stamp set. I also used the Nested Essentials Dies, along with the sentiment to fit the 'thanks' theme.

 

The Nested Essentials Dies coordinate so well with this stamp set! Several of the sentiments fit in this shape, and it's perfect if you're wanting a vertical sentiment.

#TGIFC432: Alcohol Ink Blending with Irresistible Blooms

The color challenge at TGIF Challenges this week is amazing - I love these colors!

 

I decided to try a new-to-me technique for my card: alcohol ink blending. I watched a video by Patty Bennett to learn the ins and outs of how to do this, and it took me a few tries. Definitely use 91% alcohol or higher, or you will not get the results you're looking for! In the end, I was pretty happy with how my card turned out.

 

I paired my background with the Irresistible Blooms Bundle. Isn't that die cut swirl fun?

#TGIFC422: Just Swinging By

What would you do with a navy background? That's the challenge at TGIF Challenges this week!

 

I decided to use the Little Monkey stamp set and then picked a few colors that I think work well with Night of Navy - Lemon Lolly and Calypso Coral. 

 

Do you like cutesy animal stamp sets? I am always drawn to them, and this one is adorable! I love the little heart image in the stamp set, and it fits right into this swinging monkey's arms.

The challenge this week at TGIF Challenges is a theme challenge.

 

I decided to use the Easter Bunny stamp set - Easter bunnies are magical, right?

 

I added a few fun details to make this card more magical: a hint of Orchid Oasis Glimmer Paper, the floral stamp image on the bunny with some Wink of Stella, and some pink Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins. I used the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper - doesn't it remind you of Easter eggs?

#TGIFC408: Saying Goodbye to Sale-a-Bration

Did you know there's less than a week left to Sale-a-brate?! It's always so sad when Sale-a-bration is over, but you'll be a lot happier if you get all those goodies on your wish list before it ends! This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is to use Sale-a-bration product. 

 

I used the Beautifully Happy stamp set for my card. This stamp set is free with a $100 purchase, and while it wasn't my first Sale-a-bration choice, I have grown to love it! The stamp set includes beautiful floral images and a nice variety of sentiments.

 

You can do some two-step stamping to color the flowers, but I chose to use Stampin' Blends this time. They are just so fun to color with!

 

That pretty dotted paper in the background is part of the Flowers & More Host Designer Series Paper. You can get this HUGE pack of paper for just $3 using host rewards when you place a $150 order.
