Heal Your Heart

Today's card features two Sale-a-bration products - the Heal Your Heart stamp set and the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper. These are both free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration, and they pair together beautifully!

 

The color combination in this paper is so pretty. It immediately caught my eye when I saw the Sale-a-bration brochure, and it was the first thing I picked as a reward. The sentiment from the Heal Your Heart stamp set is stamped on a piece of white cardstock and cut with the Hippo & Friends Dies. If you haven't checked those dies out yet - go do it! Of course the stamp set they pair with is amazing, but the die set includes different shapes and sizes of labels that can be used with practically any stamp set.

One Sheet Wonder: Paper Blooms & So Sentimental

It's Sale-a-bration time, and that means you can earn freebies for every $50 you spend! One of my favorite freebies this year is the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper. The color combinations in this paper are so pretty together! 

 

I decided to take one of my favorite patterns and do a "one sheet wonder". Have you ever tried this before? I searched on Pinterest for a one sheet wonder template - you can find all sorts of them there. Then I cut my paper.

 

The idea is to make a bunch of cards from one sheet of Designer Series Paper and it helps you to use it all up. Win win! This particular template has a few leftover pieces, some of which you could use for the insides of your cards to make them match. I ended up with 9 cards, which I thought was pretty good! 

 

I used just a few coordinating products to complete my cards - the So Sentimental Bundle, Elegant Faceted Gems, Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack, and Night of Navy ink, plus a few colors of cardstock. Psst... if you buy the bundle and a few of the coordinating products, you'll earn the paper for free!

Wishing You a Slice of Happiness

The Cute Fruit stamp set is a fun set to use for quick and simple cards - just stamps, ink, and paper. That's not today's card. I did some water-coloring, fussy cutting, and added a few fun details to create a card that I absolutely love!

I used the wide brush from the new Water Painters to create the striped background with Coastal Cabana ink. The trick was to use lots of water with the ink, and go back over each stripe until the desired shade was achieved. To create a "beachy" look, I pulled apart the edges of the white ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, and attached that as added texture in the background.

The card is finished off with gold thread from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack, and some Elegant Faceted Gems and Rhinestones. See below for a full list of supplies.

#GDP249: Let Your Faith Be Bigger Than Your Fear

Today's card is inspired by the color challenge at Global Design Project this week, and I used some of my favorites when I created it!

The flowers along the side are from the Jar of Flowers stamp set, and I heat embossed them in white on Misty Moonlight cardstock. Don't let the flowers in that set intimidate you - they don't necessarily have to be colored! I used Stampin' Write Markers to ink up my stamp. This is an easy way to get two colors on one image. If you don't feel like the coverage is as good as an ink pad, use your Stamparatus and you can ink multiple times until you get the look that you want.

I finished the card off with some Elegant Faceted Gems, and Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, colored with the Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Marker.
