#TGIFC494: Sending Love Your Way

This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is a sketch challenge. I like how basic this one is - you can really take it in a lot of different directions!

I was inspired by projects shared with the Regal Flora Bundle that were created by the Artisan Design Team. They used colors outside of the color scheme of the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper, and I just loved some of their combinations! So I came up with one of my own. Black and white with a pop of color is my favorite!

The striped Designer Series Paper in the background actually comes from the Halloween Spells paper pack. And the gold thread and hearts are a little sneak peek of some upcoming Online Exclusive products. They will be available in November, or you can add them to a starter kit today.

My color combination for this card was Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and black and white.

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Regal Flora
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Versamark
Paper: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Basic Black, Halloween Spells DSP
Embellishments: Gold Twisted Thread, Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins
Tools: Basics Wow! Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Regal Flora Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Decorative Trees Card Class

It's Monday, and I can't believe I forgot to post last week's card class here for you! If you didn't know, I do an online card class every week live on my Facebook business page at 12:00 PM Arizona time on Thursdays. It is free for anyone to watch, and if you can't make it live, you can watch the replay either on Facebook or on YouTube.

Last week's class featured the Decorative Trees Bundle, and we made 3 beautiful cards! I shared my technique for creating watercolor backgrounds, and I hope you'll agree that it's easier than it looks. Watercoloring is one of my favorite ways to add that something special to a card!

This card class can be found on Facebook here.

October Card Club Sneak Peek

This month's Card Club kit features the gorgeous Regal Winter Suite Collection. And although "winter" is in the name, these cards would be perfect anytime! Here's a peek:

This club is $44/month, and includes supplies to make 8 cards, 2 each of 4 designs. The card kits each month include product you'll use to create your cards - usually a half pack of Designer Series Paper, a roll of ribbon, and an embellishment - plus all of the cardstock bases and pieces you'll need to assemble your cards. Envelopes and a PDF tutorial are also included. You supply your own stamps, inks, and adhesives, or you can choose to add those onto your kit at the catalog cost - I cover the tax & shipping as a perk of belonging to the club. There is no commitment to subscribe for a certain amount of time, but for every six consecutive months that you subscribe, you'll earn a fun little gift package from me valued at $20+.

If you'd like this month's card kit, sign up here by October 20.

Creation Station: Into the Night

Welcome to this month's Creation Station Design Team blog hop! This month, our theme is "Into the Night."

This theme made me think about Halloween, and I was excited to pull out some of our brand new scrapbooking products and create a Halloween layout!

A few weeks ago, I put together the Halloween Memories Scrapbooking Workshop Kit, and I needed to do an additional two-page layout to finish my photos from this particular Halloween.

It has been a LONG time since I scrapbooked, so I needed some inspiration. I decided to use one of the layouts in the Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Workshop Kit and rework it with the Halloween papers.

My layout is pretty simple, without a lot of extra pieces and embellishments, but I think this paper is so fun for Halloween, and scrapbooking is really all about the photos!

Here is a list of products that I used on my layout:
Stamps: Halloween Memories, More than Autumn
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Versamark
Stampin' Blends Markers: Light Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Halloween Memories Two-Tone Cardstock, Halloween Spells DSP, Basic Black, Basic White
Tools: White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Nested Essentials Dies, More than Autumn Dies, Mini Alphabet Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Mini Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team has created this month! Next up is Kathy Kartak.

More than Autumn Card Class

Did you know? I do an online card class every week live on my Facebook business page at 12:00 PM Arizona time. It is free for anyone to watch, and if you can't make it live, you can watch the replay either on Facebook or on YouTube.

This week's class featured the More than Autumn Bundle, and we made 3 fun cards! I will warn you, this week's class got a little long, but I'm sure it was a hoot to watch - I designed the third card on the fly, and forgot the supplies for one of my cards in the other room. My card classes are never boring, that's for sure!
