#TGIFC449: Stars at Night Christmas Card

It's a color challenge at TGIF Challenges this week, and the perfect combination to squeeze in one more Christmas card!

There are so many different ways I could have gone with my card, but I decided to use the Stars at Night Bundle since I had it out in my craft space.

There are two greenery stamps in this set, and I used them to create a wreath around a 2" circle with the stamped greeting. This is a really easy way to make a wreath of any size! Just punch or die cut the size of circle you'd like and adhere your greenery pieces around the edge.

I used the Stars at Night Embossing Folder for the background - isn't it just gorgeous?

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Stars at Night
Ink: Real Red, Granny Apple Green
Paper: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Brights Designer Series Paper
Embellishments: Rhinestones, Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack
Tools: 2" Circle Punch, Stars at Night Hybrid Embossing Folder, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

Creation Station: Santa's Workshop

Happy December! Can you believe it's already the last month of the year? It's time for this month's Creation Station Design Team blog hop, and this month, our theme is Santa's Workshop.

To me, Santa's Workshop means it's time for gift-giving, and so I've created some gift card holders.

I've used products from the O Holy Night Suite for my gift card holders. This suite was so popular that the paper I used has already sold out! The good news is that this gift card holder is an easy fold to duplicate with any paper you'd like.

Here are the dimensions:
  • Night of Navy card base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" and 9 1/4"
  • Crumb Cake (front left): 3 3/8" x 3 7/8"
  • Designer Series Paper (front left): 3 1/4" x 3 3/4"
  • Crumb Cake (front right): 1 3/8" x 3 7/8"
  • Designer Series Paper (front right): 1 1/4" x 3 3/4"
  • Basic White (inside): 3 1/2" x 4"
  • Designer Series Paper (inside pocket): 1 1/2" x 4"
I've used the Decorative Circle Punch to punch a little notch in my gift card pocket. You could use any circle punch, but I really like the scalloped edge of this one.

Are you still crafting for Christmas? Make sure to hop along and see what the rest of the team has created to inspire you this Christmas season! Next up is Julie Beltramo. I can't wait to see what she's created this month!

Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC448: Oh, Come Let Us Adore Him

This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is a theme challenge.

I pulled out a retired stamp set that I've kept on my shelf: For Unto Us. The reason I kept it? Because it included sentiments from some of my favorite Christmas carols, and that was just what this challenge asked for!

One of my favorite Christmas songs is Oh, Come All Ye Faithful. Every year, I love attending a children's Christmas service, and they often begin with this hymn. It also reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas - so important as we start to get caught up in the busy time before the holidays.

I paired the For Unto Us stamp set with the Night Divine Dies and the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper. Here is a full list of products used on this card:

Stamps: For Unto Us
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Early Espresso, Gold Foil, One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper
Embellishments: Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems, Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack
Tools: Night Divine Dies, Christmas Classics Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

#TGIFC446: Polar Bear Christmas

Where do you find inspiration for card-making? I always find that a card sketch is a great place to start! If you're looking for some creative inspiration this week, make sure to check out the sketch challenge at TGIF Challenges. There's still time to play along!

I used the Beary Cute Bundle for my card. I used the sketch as my starting point, but turned the middle panel on its side.

This bundle is so much fun to play with. There are three adorable polar bears to stamp - and one of them even fits the coordinating punch! There are also a good number of smaller stamps in the set that you can use to create more of a scene: gifts, a tree, snowflakes, and a scarf and hat for the polar bears. Add in a few wintry sentiments, and this bundle is a must have!

Here is a full list of products used on my card:
Stamps: Beary Cute
Ink: Memento Black, Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight
Stampin' Blends Markers: Light Gray Granite, Dark Misty Moonlight
Paper: Balmy Blue, Basic White, Beary Cute Designer Series Paper, Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper
Embellishments: Rhinestones, Balmy Blue 3/8" Sparkle Ribbon
Tools: Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

Creation Station: Containers & Vases

Welcome to this month's Creation Station Design Team blog hop! Our theme this month is containers and vases.

I really wanted to participate in this month's hop, but as I looked through the stamps in the catalog, I quickly realized that I owned NONE of those that contained any type of container or vase. So I had to get creative! Let's see what you think...

Do you know where my "vase" comes from? It's the milkshake glass from the Share a Milkshake Bundle, turned upside down!

This is one of those cards that would cost you hundreds of dollars to create. I used a large variety of products and just had fun crafting!

I used the Sketched Plaid background stamp: Pecan Pie ink on Pecan Pie cardstock. The greenery I used to fill my vase comes from the two bundles in the Joy of Christmas Suite, the Christmas Classics Bundle and the Joy of Noel Bundle.

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Sketched Plaid, Joy of Noel, Christmas Classics
Ink: Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, Pecan Pie
Stampin' Blends Markers: Cherry Cobbler, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce
Paper: Pecan Pie, Basic White, Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green Foil Sheets, More Dazzle Specialty Paper
Embellishments: Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack, Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems
Tools: Share a Milkshake Dies, Joy of Noel Dies, Christmas Classics Dies, Timeless Arrangements Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensional, Mini Glue Dots

Make sure to follow along the rest of the hop and see what the other talented designers have created! Next up is the wonderful Elizabeth Price.

#GDP415: Patterned Fall Card

The challenge at Global Design Project this week is a theme challenge.

I chose to create a pattern with Designer Series Paper. It was a little time-consuming, but I love the result!

Can you guess which Designer Series Paper I used? It's an Online Exclusive paper - One Horse Open Sleigh. Of course it's meant as a Christmas paper, but the patterns I chose work well for this fall-themed card.

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 4" x 5 1/4". I cut 1-inch squares of the Designer Series Paper in half to create my triangles, and then just glued them down until the entire piece of cardstock was covered. Start with the center triangle at the top and work your way out and down. I ended up trimming the entire piece down to 3 3/4" x 5" after I was done.

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Autumn Leaves
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Basic White, Gold Foil, One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper
Embellishments: Simply Elegant Trim, Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins
Tools: Autumn Leaves Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

I'm getting back into the swing of things this week and playing along with the color challenge at TGIF Challenges. It's the perfect combination for a fall card!

I used the Modern Garden Bundle and Blooming Pearls from the Garden Walk suite of products. There are LOTS of stamps in this stamp set, and you can do two-step stamping or stamp in single layers. Depending on the colors you choose, these flowers work well for any type of card and any season.

I've used a variety of other products to complete my card. Here's a full list:
Stamps: Modern Garden
Ink: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Thick Very Vanilla, Very Vanilla, Regals Designer Series Paper, One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper

Creation Station: Monochromatic

Happy September! Are you a lover of the 'ber' months like I am? So many holidays to look forward to, and cooler weather! Let's kick off the month with this month's Creation Station Design Team blog hop. Our theme this month is Monochromatic.

I am in full holiday creating mode now, and decided to create some monochromatic Christmas cards using the new Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper and the two stamp sets from the Joy of Christmas Suite.

That red card had me singing Christmas carols to myself while I was crafting. The sentiment and paper were a perfect match!

For my green card, I stamped off once in Granny Apple Green ink for the 'NOEL'.

And how to make those fun bows... I folded the Metallic Ribbon back and forth a few times and secured with a Mini Glue Dot. Then I tied the In Color Baker's Twine around the center and tied with a bow.

Which card was your favorite? Red or green? Comment and let me know!

Here is a full list of products used on these cards. Many of them are brand new products and will be available to customers starting on Wednesday.
Stamps: Christmas Classics, Joy of Noel
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade
Paper: Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade, Basic White, Merry Bold & Bright DSP
Embellishments: Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs, Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon, Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon, 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine
Tools: Christmas Classics Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

Make sure to hop along and see what the rest of the team has created! Next up is the talented Jeanna Bohanon.
