#TGIFC413: Saying Goodbye to a Few of My Favorite Retiring Products

The Last Chance lists were shared yesterday, and it's time to say goodbye to some really great products. But don't worry! There are SO many new things that are amazing too, so you won't stay sad for long.

I decided to use a few of my favorite things to play along with the TGIF Challenges Vellum Overlay challenge this week.

I used a mix of products that are staying and going. The Perfectly Penciled DSP, 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper, 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots, and Happiness Abounds Bundle are all retiring. But the Scalloped Contours Dies, Color & Contour stamp set, Something Fancy Dies, and Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon are all sticking around!

I heat embossed the flower on Watercolor Paper in White, then water-colored with Orchid Oasis ink. Orchid Oasis has been my go-to purple recently, and I just love the different shades you get with water-coloring!

Some of these retiring products go on sale April 4, but if you see something you like, you may not want to wait. Everything is while supplies last, and there is a chance that things could sell out before the sale starts. Click here to shop.

Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC412: Magical Easter Bunny

The challenge this week at TGIF Challenges is a theme challenge.

I decided to use the Easter Bunny stamp set - Easter bunnies are magical, right?

I added a few fun details to make this card more magical: a hint of Orchid Oasis Glimmer Paper, the floral stamp image on the bunny with some Wink of Stella, and some pink Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins. I used the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper - doesn't it remind you of Easter eggs?

Here is a full list of products used on this card:

#GDP385: Conversation Bubbles Card

It's color challenge time at Global Design Project this week, and I love it! Coastal Cabana is one of my all time favorite Stampin' Up! colors, and Crumb Cake is probably my favorite neutral.

I had the Conversation Bubbles Bundle out, so that's what I used to create my card.

The Picture This Dies are so fun, and I thought they paired well with this equally fun bundle. What do you think?

That embossing folder is part of a pack of three new embossing folders - the Basics Embossing Folders - which are an online exclusive product. Like many of the other online exclusive products, these embossing folders have been super popular and are currently out of stock. But have no fear! It looks like they'll be back in May.

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Conversation Bubbles
Ink: Crumb Cake
Paper: Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla
Embellishments: Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Enamel Dot Essentials

I used the Conversation Bubbles Bundle and the beautiful Flowers & More Host Designer Series Paper for my card.

There are SO many pretty patterns in this pack of paper - can you imagine all of the combinations? This layout is perfect for showing off several patterns of paper, and I'm definitely saving this sketch.

#TGIFC410: Mountains of Thanks

This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is a color challenge. What pretty spring colors!

Although these are pretty colors, this is probably not a combination I would choose on my own. But I LOVE how my card turned out!

I used products from the Enjoy the Journey Suite again, and the Designer Series Paper is just gorgeous. The particular piece I used on this card reminds me of the phrase "purple mountain majesty" and brought back memories of the beautiful mountain scenery I saw every day when I lived in Colorado.

I embossed the large floral image from the stamp set in white on Watercolor Paper and then added some Blushing Bride ink with a Water Painter. Once it was dry, I die cut the entire image and then trimmed out some of the smaller pieces. The grassy area is also die cut with the Greatest Journey Dies - there's a fun edge piece that can be used to add layers to your card. And finally, I used the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder for the background white piece.

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Greatest Journey
Ink: Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, Pear Pizzazz
Paper: Highland Heather, Basic White, Gorgeous Grape, Pear Pizzazz, Watercolor Paper, Enjoy the Journey DSP
Embellishments: Linen Thread, Pastel Pearls
Tools: Water Painter, Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Stitched Rectangles Dies, Greatest Journey Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Creation Station: Ink Blending

It's time for the Creation Station Design Team blog hop, and this month our theme is Ink Blending. I've been wanting to do some ink blending on the Like An Animal Specialty Designer Series Paper, so this was the perfect time to try it out!

My oldest daughter loves cheetahs, so I pulled out the gold cheetah print pattern and my Polished Pink ink. I used a Blending Brush to gradually add ink to the paper, starting at the bottom and working my way up. This is how you get that ombre effect, and you can just keep adding ink until you're happy with how it looks.

I also used a few products from the Enjoy the Journey Suite on my card - the other layer of pink patterned paper is the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper, and the sentiment comes from the Greatest Journey stamp set. I heat embossed it in black for a really striking look.

Here is a full list of products used on my card:
Stamps: Greatest Journey
Ink: Polished Pink
Paper: Basic Black, Polished Pink, Brushed Metallic Cardstock, Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper, Like An Animal Specialty Designer Series Paper
Embellishments: Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Simply Elegant Trim, Matte Black Dots
Tools: Blending Brush, Versamark, Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool, Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Mini Glue Dots

Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to hop along and see what the rest of the team has created. Up next is Yvonne Spikmans - Van Bruggen. I can't wait to see what she has created!

March Sale-a-bration Classes

I have a special treat for you today! During Sale-a-bration, I collected some extra rewards, and now it's time to share them with you. I am offering two card classes this month, both using Sale-a-bration products. The deadline to sign up for both is March 13, or while supplies last. I have limited numbers of the Sale-a-bration products to include in the class kits. If you sign up for both, I will ship them together and will only charge you one shipping fee.

Here is the first class:
In this class through the mail, you'll make 12 cards - 2 each of 6 designs. There is no stamping in this class! The class includes the Enjoy the Adventure Memories & More Card Pack, a full embellishment, a roll of Balmy Blue & White Variegated Ribbon, a package of Stampin' Dimensionals, and a 1/4 package of the Sale-a-bration Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper. You'll also get all of the card bases and cardstock die cuts you'll need to complete your cards, plus envelopes and a PDF tutorial with instructions.
The only additional items you will need to assemble your cards are the adhesive of your choice (I recommend Stampin' Seal+) and a pair of scissors.
This class is $47, plus $10 if you will need your class shipped to you.
Here are a few coordinating products that you may choose to add on to your kit:
