I have another Painted Poppies card to share with you today. Once you start using this stamp set, it's hard to stop - it's so pretty!
For the poppies on this card, I stamped the outline in Memento Black. Then I used the solid background stamp to "color" it, and the larger splatter stamp to add some texture. The poppies really stand out against the black and white, don't you think?
The challenge at TGIF Challenges this week is an inspiration challenge, and the inspiration is the cover of the catalog! I love the Peaceful Poppies suite, which takes front and center on the Spring Mini Catalog, so this challenge was an easy one for me.
I used quite a few elements from the Peaceful Poppies suite on this card. If you'd like to see how I made it, check out my Facebook Live.
Here's a close up of the details:
And here's a full list of the supplies I used: Stamps: Painted Poppies, Little Ladybug Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Memento Black, Stampin' Blends: Light & Dark Rich Razzleberry Paper: Whisper White, Old Olive, Peaceful Poppies DSP Embellishments: Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon Tools: Painted Labels Dies, Poppy Moments Dies Adhesives: SNAIL, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
I have heard several people say that one of their New Year's goals is to send more cards this year. Now maybe that is because a lot of people I know are into making cards, but that's besides the point. If this is one of your goals, I have the perfect stamp set for you - Heartfelt! It is a Valentine's Day stamp set at first glance, but several sentiments are appropriate for anytime. So for today's card, I made a non-Valentine's card using this set.
What do you think of the color combo? I used Black, White, Gold, Pool Party, and Highland Heather. The Highland Heather is stamped off once, which I feel is a pretty close match to Purple Posy.
Are you wondering where that Pool Party ribbon came from? I colored the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon with my Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends Marker! Fun, right? And that gorgeous striped paper is from the Golden Honey Specialty DSP that you can get for free during Sale-a-bration. I love me some black and white stripes!
What is your favorite part of this card? Comment and let me know! If you'd like to watch me put it together, check out my Facebook Live. Stamps: Heartfelt Ink: Memento Black, Highland Heather, Pool Party, Stampin' Blends: Dark Pool Party Paper: Whisper White, Golden Honey Specialty DSP, Gold Foil Embellishments: Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, Painted Poppies Sequins Tools: Heart Punch Pack, 1 1/2" Circle Punch Adhesives: SNAIL, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

It's hard to believe that Valentine's Day is just over a month away! The Valentine's Day products offered in this year's Spring Mini Catalog are just gorgeous, and they really make it easy to put together a pretty card! I followed the sketch at Global Design Project this week to create my design.
What you might not notice at first glance is the very subtle splatter on the white background. I used my Aquapainter and Flirty Flamingo ink - all you have to do is ink up the Aquapainter and make sure it's wet, then flick it. The more ink you add, the more pronounced your splatter.
This was the first time I tried this technique, and it was a last-minute add to this card. I didn't add too much ink because I didn't want to ruin the card! Next time, I'll experiment with more ink and see what happens.
I've spotted a lot of great designs for this sketch challenge, so make sure you go and check them all out!

Wow, a month flew by since the last time I blogged! Oops! I took a little bit of time off over Christmas and just enjoyed family. But I have a new card to share with you today, and it features my favorite stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalog - Music From the Heart.
I paired this stamp set with the Golden Honey Specialty DSP from the Sale-a-bration Catalog - not just for honey bee cards! The gold and black combo really seemed to fit the musical theme, don't you think?
