Well ok, do you want to know a secret? I didn't send out the last of 2014's Christmas cards until March. March! So embarrassing. I guess it becomes less embarrassing when you take into account my 1-year-old, my 2-year-old, and all of the other stamping projects I have to do. Still, even though I started in September last year, I was still REALLY late in sending out all of my cards. So this year, I have already started my Christmas cards. Did I pick something simple? No, of course not. Take a look:
I copied this card from the Gentle Peace flyer. It is fairly simple, just time-consuming. And I ran into a problem when the Blendabilities were discontinued because I still needed two sets to finish my coloring. Thankfully, I was able to purchase them from another demonstrator, so as long as the markers last through 140 cards, I am good to go!
Here is the inside of the card. Love the message!
Stamps: Gentle Peace
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Blendabilities (retired): Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Skin Tone Assortment
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories & Tools: Filigree Frame EF, Big Shot
My new plan is to create the next year's Christmas card when the Holiday Catalog comes out in fall. That way, you still get to see it while the products are current, and I can (hopefully) finish my Christmas cards much earlier.
Now for the exciting news this week: Stampin' Up! is offering FREE shipping on all orders!!! *excludes expedited shipping*
Even if you only need something small, like adhesive, order this week! Shipping is regularly $6.95 or 10% of your order, whichever is greater, so this is an awesome deal! Anyone who places an order using hostess code FZ9BB9VV this week will also receive a little thank you gift from me! If your order total reaches $150 before tax, please do not use the hostess code so that you can earn your own hostess dollars. Don't worry - I will still send you the thank you gift! Don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack - maybe you can find supplies for your Christmas cards this year!
Happy Stamping!
Rachel
