Creation Station: Spooktacular Treats

It's the first Sunday in October, and that means it's time for this month's Creation Station Design Team hop! Our theme this month is Spooktacular Treats.

For my project, I've created two treat boxes using products from the Spooky Sweet Suite Collection. This box design comes from Erica Cerwin - she created the cutest Christmas version for a Creative Convention I attended recently, and I've turned her design into a fun box for Halloween! She recommended a Little Debbie Christmas tree for her box, so I think some of the Little Debbie fall/Halloween treats might fit as well. I've put in two Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - they're my favorite. This box is perfect for a few of any fun size candies you like!

The box is a pretty easy design - cut a piece of cardstock 6 1/2" x 9 1/4". Then score the short side at 1 1/4" and 5 1/4". Score the long side at 1 1/4", 4", 5 1/4" and 8". Then cut the tabs as shown below.

Your adhesive will go only on the tabs. You'll fold four of them in to create the bottom of the box, and then the top two will fold in to create the lid. Wrap your ribbon around the box and tie in a bow, then adhere a Perennial Postage die cut to both the top and the bottom to hold the ribbon in place. When you untie the bow, your box can fold open.

Make sure to hop along and see what the rest of the team has created - they're sure to inspire you in all of your Halloween crafting!

Frightfully Cute Halloween Class

In this class through the mail, you'll make 3 treat packages and 2 fun fold cards - one is a gift card holder! Treats are not included.

Here are the options for purchasing this class:
Option #1: ($87) This option includes the Frightfully Cute Bundle (stamps & dies), a full package of the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper, a full roll of ribbon, and a full package of Cute Stars Sequins, plus the supplies cut and ready to make all of your projects and a PDF tutorial with instructions.
Option #2: ($39) This option includes everything listed above, except for the Frightfully Cute Bundle.
Option #3: ($15) This option includes the tutorial only.
You will need the Frightfully Cute Bundle to complete your projects, or you can substitute a Halloween set that you already own. You will also need the following inks: Pumpkin Pie, Highland Heather, Memento Black, Daffodil Delight, and Mango Melody. I recommend these adhesives: Stampin' Seal+, Stampin' Dimensionals, and Mini Glue Dots. You are welcome to add these items on to your kit.
Shipping for this class is $9, or you can pick it up if you are local to Gilbert, AZ.
The deadline to sign up for this class is Monday, October 11. Kits will ship by October 18 so that you should receive them in time to put your projects together before Halloween. The dies are currently on backorder until October 18, so if you choose to include the bundle in your class, your class will ship a few days later.

January 2020 Paper Pumpkin: I'll Bee Yours Alternative

I am definitely a last minute crafter most days. How about you? Since tomorrow is Valentine's Day, I spent the afternoon working on some of mine. January's Paper Pumpkin kit, I'll Bee Yours, was the perfect starting point!

This is the intended use for the kit - and I didn't even put them all together! I added some Ghiradelli chocolate hearts for the teachers at my kids' school. Yum!

Then I moved on to the kids' treats. We found inexpensive heart lollipops, and I used the stamps in the kit, along with a bee cut from the Golden Honey Specialty paper, the Heart Punch Pack, and the Gingham Gala Sequins.

I did four different color designs, and I love how they turned out! I don't think the kids in Kindergarten and 2nd grade are going to appreciate them as much as I do. Ha! But I enjoyed making them, and that's what counts, right?

Here's a full supply list:
Stamps: I'll Bee Yours
Ink: Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo
Paper: Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Golden Honey Specialty DSP
Embellishments: Gingham Gala Sequins
Tools: Heart Punch Pack, Detailed Bee Dies
Adhesives: SNAIL, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

Painted Poppies Tiny Treat Bag

Today's project is cute and fun! I was looking for projects using 6 x 6" paper to showcase the paper sampler that you can get for free in a starter kit during Sale-a-bration, and I found this cute treat bag from Pootles' Papercraft. You can follow the link to see the measurements and instructions, but it's really easy to put together!

These bags are small - perfect for a few Hershey's kisses or Dove chocolates (think Valentine's Day!). They are also a great size for party or wedding favors.

I used a regular hole punch to punch one hole through the paper at the top, and then put my ribbon through and tied a bow. You could also use a binder clip.

If you'd like to see how I put this project together, you can check out the video here.

Stamps: Painted Poppies, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Poppy Parade, Memento Black
Paper: Peaceful Poppies DSP, Whisper White
Embellishments: Peaceful Poppies Sequins, Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon
Tools: Pretty Label Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch, Paper Trimmer, Hole Punch
Adhesives: Tear and Tape, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

Facebook Live: Hey Love Treat

For this week's Facebook Live, I thought I would point out a feature of the online store you might not have noticed. It is the section called Project Ideas. Here, you can see a variety of sample projects, and each one has all of the products you need to make that project. You can even purchase all of them together under one ordering code!

So the project I put together uses the Hey Love stamp set, and isn't it cute?

I think this is the perfect treat packaging for anyone you want to give a sweet treat to on Valentine's Day. If you want to make this project too, you can order everything you need here.

Then I decided to add in a few additional colors and use more of the cute animals in the stamp set.

Which one is your favorite?

Stamps: Hey Love
Ink: Memento Black, plus Light Flirty Flamingo, Dark and Light Smoky Slate, and Dark and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends
Paper: Whisper White Thick
Accessories & Tools: 2 x 8" Cello Bags, Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine
