July 2015 Paper Pumpkin: Thanks a Latte

July's Paper Pumpkin kit was another card kit! Those are my favorite, and I was excited to see the cute sentiments and coffee/tea cups. I'm not too excited about the plant, but maybe I'll come up with some way to use it that I like. Take a look at the stamp set and see what you think:

The cards turned out cute, too!

I think this month's cards would be perfect for giving someone a Starbucks gift card, don't you? I have a few friends who are tea drinkers, so maybe a gift card to Teavana instead? I only put together 4 of my 8 cards for now. I am thinking about making a few alternate designs with the others, which I'll share here.

Do you like these cards? If you don't want to miss out on this month's kit, today is the LAST day to sign up! And then it will ship to you this week! How great is that?! Oh wait, it gets better. Right now, Paper Pumpkin is on sale. If you are a new subscriber, you can get your first two months at half price!!! Stampin' Up! runs this sale every so often, and it is a GREAT deal! You get so much for your money, and I have heard that the next two months will be awesome kits. Click here to sign up, and make sure to use the promo code HALFOFF. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Cottage Greetings: 3 Different Looks

It is unusual for me to be posting this late in the day, but I wanted to share these cards today, and haven't had time until now to finish up the post. This morning, we had our big ultrasound for the baby, the one where you find out the gender. Our baby was being a little stubborn today, and the tech thought it was a boy, but we are still unsure. We may find out for sure later, or it may be a surprise on delivery day! It is still always a neat thing to get a peek at your baby! Now, onto the cards...

I recently offered the Cottage Greetings Card Kit as a class, and everyone who purchased the kit and stamp set also received 3 additional cards that showed other ways to use the stamp set. I tried to make the cards simple so that they could be easily duplicated, yet beautiful so that you would want to duplicate them! I thought that today I would share the cards, along with the products I used to make them.

The first card uses the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack, and I used my Blender Pens to color in the flowers. If you bought the stamp set to use with the Cottage Greetings Card Kit, you might have missed those little flowers, but they are a cute addition to any card!

Stamps: Cottage Greetings
Ink: Watermelon Wonder
Paper: Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White, Cherry on Top DSP Stack
Accessories & Tools: Blender Pens

The next card features our Kraft Cardstock. This one is super simple, but I think it's my favorite! It was the first time I had used this cardstock, and it's definitely going to be used again! I love the look of the black on the Kraft!

Stamps: Cottage Greetings
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Paper: Kraft
Accessories & Tools: Metallics Sequin Assortment

The final card probably looks the fanciest, but it, too, was really simple! I am loving the Designer Series Paper Stacks this year - the patterns are really pretty! One tip - I placed dots of Tombow Multipurpose Glue behind the rhinestones to hold the vellum in place. That way you don't see the adhesive!

Stamps: Cottage Greetings
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Paper: Smoky Slate, Vellum, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack
Accessories & Tools: Rhinestone Basic Jewels

The Cottage Greetings stamp set is one of my favorites in this catalog. I hope you like it too!

Don't forget about the Paper Pumpkin special going on right now! You have one more week to sign up in order to get this month's kit. I heard that they previewed the August and September kits at convention, and while I haven't heard what is in them, I have heard that they are AWESOME!!! Zoo Babies Invitation

A few weeks ago, a friend asked if I would make 1st birthday invitations for her son. I agreed, and here is what I came up with:

Zoo Babies is my go to for the little people in my life. The animals are just so much fun! I did use two retired items on these cards - Crushed Curry embossing powder, and the Date, Place, Time stamp (not pictured) on the back. But the rest is current product, and easy to reproduce! Now on to making a birthday card for the little guy...

Stamps: Zoo Babies, Larger Than Life Alphabet & Numbers
Ink: VersaMark, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Cucumber Crush, Brights Designer Series Paper Stack
Accessories & Tools: Crushed Curry Embossing Powder (retired), Heat Tool, Balloon Framelits, Big Shot
