#TGIFC561: Giving You a Big Smooch

Valentine's Day is coming up soon, and I decided I had better get to making the cards I need! This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges to use embossing powder gave me a starting point for my card.

I created this Valentine's Day card for my youngest daughter. She loves to give me a big, wet kiss every night at bedtime, so this sentiment and the cute bear from the Valentine Kisses stamp set are perfect for her! I paired them with the heart outline stamp from the Endless Love stamp set. This heart was embossed in gold multiple times on Watercolor Paper, then watercolored with Strawberry Slush and Bubble Bath ink. I love a good watercolor resist!

I've also embossed my sentiment. The card is finished off with a few extra touches of gold in the mat behind my background piece and the ribbon, as well as my favorite new embellishment - the Pearlized Faceted Circles.

Here is a full list of products used on this card:
Stamps: Endless Love, Valentine Kisses
Ink: Memento Black, Strawberry Slush, Versamark
Stampin' Blends Markers: Crumb Cake, Petal Pink
Paper: Strawberry Slush, Basic White, Gold Foil, Watercolor Paper
Embellishments: Pearlied Faceted Circles, Gold Striped 3/8" Mesh Ribbon
Tools: Basics Wow! Embossing Powder, Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Water Painters, Stylish Shapes Dies, Valentine Kisses Dies, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Happy Stamping!

Stamping Sunday - Bloom Where You're Planted

Welcome to this month's Stamping Sunday blog hop!

You might have noticed that the Creation Station blog hop didn't happen this month. We have some fun news! We are merging together with the Stamping Sunday group, and will now be hopping on the third Sunday of the month. We are working on a new combined name and logo, and will debut that next month. For now, enjoy this month's projects with the theme Fresh Starts & Creative Beginnings.

For my project, I wanted to use some fresh new products, as well as a sentiment that speaks to my heart about new beginnings and moving forward.

My card is a slimline card. The front measures 4" x 7", and it will likely become a decor piece in my workspace! I've used the gorgeous new Lovely & Beautiful Designer Series Paper. This paper has a touch of gold foil, and I've carried that through my design with other gold elements.

I've used several stamp sets here - Sweet Blooms for the sentiment and A Round of Hellos for the stamped flower.

I hope you've been inspired by my project today! Be sure to hop along and see what the rest of the team has created. You can find the hop over on Instagram, or follow the list below.

Happy Stamping!

Inspiring Imperfections Card Class

Hello, and happy 2026! Today was my first card class of the year, and I think it's the perfect one for starting fresh.

Did you know? I do an online card class every week live on my Facebook business page at 12:00 PM Arizona time on Thursdays. It is free for anyone to watch, and if you can't make it live, you can watch the replay either on Facebook or on YouTube. I didn't get a chance to post the last few classes from December, and then I took a bit of a break over Christmas from my weekly card classes. (I did, however, do a 12-day video series with projects from the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar, so make sure to check that out on my YouTube channel!)

This week's card class features the Inspiring Imperfections Bundle and coordinating products from the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite Collection. While these products are not brand new, I wanted to share them because they are based on a beautiful metaphor - you can take the broken pieces of something and put them back together to create something new and even better than the original! Isn't that a great way to look at a new year too? Take the broken pieces of whatever happened last year and start fresh with something new. I love it!

You can watch the replay of this week's class on Facebook here.

Or on YouTube here:
