#TGIFC407: Sending Support Card

This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is a sketch challenge. I love the simplicity of this sketch!

 

I kept my card pretty simple too, using the Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper and the Sale-a-bration Sending Support stamp set. 

 

Now just don't ask me for the measurements on those pieces of Designer Series Paper! I cut and trimmed until they looked right, and I'm not sure what I ended up with... 

 

Some In Color products finished off the card: 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper for the Parakeet Party banner, 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine in Starry Sky, and some of the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to embellish the card. These products all coordinate really well with that Butterfly Kisses paper!

#GDP357: Happy Holidays

Happy Saturday! I thought it would be fun to get a little bit of crafting in today and create with the Global Design Project color challenge. I love the colors in this week's challenge, but for some reason it was a struggle to create something I was happy with. Here's the challenge:

And here's what I came up with:

 

I totally scrapped my first idea, and then decided to go with a non-traditional Christmas card. Using colors besides red and green for Christmas cards is one of my favorite things to do, and I think it worked out ok. What do you think?

 

I used the Trimming the Tree stamp set and the coordinating Tree Trimmings Dies, which will be available starting on September 1. Coordinating dies are the best!

#GDP355: Birthday Piggy

There is a theme challenge at Global Design Project this week:

I knew right away that I wanted to play with my brand new This Birthday Piggy stamp set and Playful Piggy Dies (available to customers next month).

 

This stamp set is so fun, but the dies make it AMAZING! To be honest, I don't spend a long time on most of my cards. They're pretty sweet and simple (and quick!). This one took a little bit longer, but it was really enjoyable to try out lots of the dies and build a scene.

 

The Playful Piggy Dies will be available to customers next month, while supplies last. OR you can get them now by adding them to a starter kit. There are also five other die sets coming that coordinate with stamp sets in the annual and mini catalog. SO fun!

#TGIFC369: New Catalog Inspiration

I'm playing along with the challenge at TGIF Challenges again this week, and this week is a fun one! 

 

It's not hard to be inspired by the new catalog, so I used a few of my favorite products:

• Decorative Circle Punch
• Design a Daydream DSP (host exclusive product)
• Iridescent Pearls

My card was also inspired by one of the sample projects in the catalog. You can see it in the photo below (the coral card with the three punched circles):

Those Iridescent Pearls are SO pretty in person! Sometimes it's hard to tell in the catalog photos exactly what a product will be like, and in this case, the photos definitely do not do them justice.

#TGIFC368: A Little Note of Thanks

 It has been quite awhile since I've played along at TGIF Challenges, but I used their sketch this week as my starting point when I pulled out the Sweet Songbirds Bundle for the first time!

 

This was my first play with this bundle, and it's so much fun to work with! You can stamp the bird or create it with the punch and cardstock, and there are lots of little stamps in the set to build your own little picture. As a pianist, I couldn't resist the musical notes!

I am playing along this week with the Global Design Project color challenge. Pretty and soft subtle colors!

 

If you were to ask me, my first color choices would be bright colors, not these soft pastels. But I think they came together for a lovely card!
