Sunburst Hooray Card

Earlier this month, I participated in Online Stampin' Bingo, put on by Erica Cerwin. As part of the fee, I received supplies for several make and take projects. The card I'm sharing with you today was one of them. I used a different stamp than Erica did, but besides that the design is hers. I think this will be a great card to send to my new team member!

Party Wishes Gift Set

I haven't had a lot of time to create lately, but when I took some time last week to put together a little gift for my sister-in-law's birthday, I came up with this cute little gift bag and matching card. It turned out to be one of my favorite things that I've created in a long time!

The products I used come from the It's My Party product suite in the Occasions Catalog. One of my favorite things in this catalog is the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack. It's a 12 x 12 stack of paper, and the patterns and colors are just perfect for birthdays! I am also really loving the color combination of Basic Black, Whisper White and Melon Mambo lately. Bloomin' Heart Wedding Card

Valentine's Day is coming up, and maybe you've seen samples of valentines made with the new Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies. I plan to use it for some valentines too, but the card I have to share with you today is a wedding card. A good friend of mine got married just after Christmas, and I thought that the Bloomin' Heart Die cut out in Red Glimmer Paper was just perfect to go with her Christmas wedding! Take a look:

This die is really beautiful, and it can be used for much more than valentines! I hope to share a few other ideas with you soon.

Stamping 101: Big Shot Die Brush

If you've looked through the new Occasions Catalog, perhaps you have noticed a new tool called the Big Shot Die Brush. This tool is used with some of the more intricate dies and your Big Shot machine. It comes with a foam pad. After you run the die through your Big Shot, lay it flat on the foam pad, with the paper touching the pad and the die side up. Roll the brush over the die, and it will push all of those little pieces out. You can see it in action in this 5-minute video from Stampin' Up!, which features the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies.

This is the die that I tried the brush with, and it did help with getting all of those little pieces out. If you have lots of intricate pieces to cut out, the Big Shot Die Brush will definitely make your work go much faster! Make sure to add it to your shopping list today!

Tin of Cards Birthday

One of my New Year's resolutions is to get birthday and anniversary cards sent out on time, so they actually reach the person on or before their special day. One of my dear friends has a birthday on January 4. Did I have her card sent? No. It wasn't even made. So far I am failing miserably at my resolution. Sorry, Michelle! Your card is going in the mail today! I will have to keep working at this resolution...
