Copper Rejoice Card & Product Shares

Today's simple but beautiful card was featured in last week's Facebook live. I used the His Light stamp set, Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper, and copper embossing to make a stunning card without too much effort.
This card layout is perfect for using up product shares! You can mix and match the papers and ribbons, and add an embellishment if you'd like. You can even switch out the sentiment, using whatever stamp sets you already own.

Speaking of product shares, I am hosting one now through October 10! I have three options to choose from - one for paper, one for ribbon, and one for embellishments. You can choose to participate in one, two, or all three. The details are in the graphics below.

Please note that if you participate in more than one, you will only pay for shipping once. Also note that each share is split between four people, so I need four to sign up in order to place the order. You will not be invoiced until your share is full.

If you are interested in participating in a product share, please email me and let me know which ones you would like to participate in.

Here are the measurements and details for today's card:
*I used a Whisper White card base. It measures 4 1/4" x 11", and is scored and folded at 5 1/2".
*The Designer Series Paper measures 3 1/4" x 4".
*The Whisper White piece with the sentiment measures 2 1/8" x 4".
*I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the DSP and the sentiment.
*Wrap a ribbon around the card front and tie in a bow.

#TGIFC177: Sketch Challenge

The card I'm sharing today is working double duty! I created it using the sketch challenge over at TGIF Challenges, and I'll be using it in my card class this month. Check out the sketch!

I was inspired by a card I saw by Tami Hewlett a few weeks ago, and a Lularoe dress in my closet - that's where my color combo came from, and I just love how it came together!

I used the Perennial Birthday stamp set, which has not seen much use in my craft room. I'm a little embarrassed to tell you that I bought it with the kit it was originally designed for, and that kit is sitting unfinished on my shelf. Oops! I have good intentions to put it together. Some day. The good news is that this stamp set is beautiful and can be used all by itself!

I hope you like my card, and if you are local to Gilbert, AZ, join me for my card class this month and you'll get to make it!

Stamps: Perennial Birthday
Ink: Berry Burst, Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite
Paper: Gray Granite, Whisper White, Berry Burst, Blueberry Bushel, Festive Farmhouse DSP

Back to School Teacher Treats

Today I'm sharing the treat I made for the teachers at my daughter's school to celebrate the beginning of the school year. School has started, but it's never too late to give a teacher a little thank you gift! (And if I'm being real, these did not get delivered the first day of school. Or even the first week. Having a baby in the house is severely side-tracking my timeline for getting things done!)

To make the boxes, I followed a tutorial from Erica Cerwin for making a box of any size. The tutorial begins about 26 minutes into the video. Want to see what's inside?

I also got this idea from Erica Cerwin. She makes the cutest 3D projects, and always has the best treats! If you are looking for an everyday treat that's not back to school specific, the regular Little Debbie cakes are the same size and will fit perfectly in this box.

Here are the measurements for my box:
The base is 7 1/2 inches by 4 3/4 inches. On the long side, score at 1 1/4 inches and 6 1/4 inches. On the short side, score at 1 1/4 inches and 3 1/2 inches.
The top is 6 1/2 inches by 3 3/4 inches. On the long side, score at 3/4 inches and 5 3/4 inches. On the short side, score at 3/4 inches and 3 inches. For directions on assembly, see the link above for Erica Cerwin's tutorial.

A few tips for putting the box together - definitely use a strong adhesive! I used some of my retired Fast Fuse Adhesive, but the lids still kept popping apart. I finally reinforced them with Scotch tape on the inside. Tear and Tape Adhesive would be another option. Which brings me to my next tip - Erica always makes the lids of her boxes just slightly bigger than the bottom of the box, and then it's not such a tight fit. I forgot to do that on mine, and I think that contributed to the adhesive not sticking as well.

I thought the sentiment from Treehouse Adventure was perfect for the start of school - Let the Adventure Begin! I used retired ribbon on these, but the 3/8" Mini Ruffled Ribbon would be perfect here too.

Stamps: Treehouse Adventure
Ink: Call Me Clover
Paper: Crumb Cake, Call Me Clover, Whisper White, Animal Expedition DSP
Accessories & Tools: Starburst Punch, Layering Circles Framelits, Big Shot, 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon (retired)
