#TGIFC588: 'Tis the Season

This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is an inspiration challenge, and I've used elements from the layout to create my card this week.

 

I loved the stripes in the background, and wanted to recreate that look with strips of the Shimmering Stripes paper. It's so sparkly and pretty in real life. A photo does not do it justice!

 

I used the Pretty Poinsettia Bundle for the focal image. I've been having so much fun playing with this bundle this week!

The Stamping Station: CASE the Catalog

 

Hello, and welcome to this month's hop from The Stamping Station! Our theme this month is CASE the Catalog.

I chose one of my favorite card layouts from the catalog (you can see it on the left in the second photo). If it looks familiar, it's because I've used this layout several times recently!

 

 

 

I switched out the bundle featured in the catalog, and used the Splash & Relax Bundle instead, along with some of my favorite colors from the Brights Collection. You'll see two DSPs featured on my card - the wave pattern is from the Waterside Retreat DSP, and the striped pattern in the background is from the Brights Painted Patterns DSP. Don't they pair together nicely?!

Forever Florals Card Class

#TGIFC571: Hello Friend

This week's challenge at TGIF Challenges is a color challenge, and those are always my favorite! I love the bright colors they've chosen this time. They are right up my alley!

 

I've paired the Made with Sweetness Bundle with a sentiment from the Sweet Bugs stamp set for a fun and fruity card.

 

I used the Made with Sweetness Dies to create my strawberry and orange slice. The bottom layer of the orange is colored with the Dark Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends Marker for some contrast. I used Lemon Lolly cardstock for the bottom layer of the strawberry.

The Stamping Station: Inspired by Texture

 

It's time for The Stamping Station blog hop, and this month's theme is Inspired by Texture. I've been using products from the Homemade Sweetness Suite Collection all week, and I just can't stop crafting with them! I used the stamps, dies, Designer Series Paper, and embossing folder on my card today.

 

I've added texture in several places on my card:

• embossing the Strawberry Slush layer with the Ladybug Picnic 3D Embossing Folder
• curling the edges of the cardstock
• tearing the Designer Series Paper layers
• folding the ribbon (this was a little fussy, but I LOVE how it turned out!)
